Rose Marie Wood began painting in 1992, but has been an artist all her life. Rose graduated in 1997 from University of Hertfordshire with a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art and a Masters degree in 2006. Working mostly with oils during her painting life, she is also known for her figurative work in charcoal, sculpture and photography. She depicts people, landscape, still life and abstracted forms in her paintings and there is always present throughout her work a light beauty, a vulnerability and great sensitivity to her subject.
